There is some news from the US.
 
Also in 2006 lectures will keep Blaine Pardoe busy from whom you will remember, that he is the author of the new book "The Cruise of the Sea Eagle".

Some days ago Blaine had a really historic lecture. Historic, because Count von Luckner himself had a lecture at the same place, the same day, just 76 years ago. On February 3, 1930 the Count spoke at the Bulldog Studios, Old Beacon High School, and was exactly the place where Blaine Pardoe spoke to an audience of more than 100 persons, great!
 
Many questions could be answered and, furthermore, it has been a promotion for our society.
 
Mr. Pardoe had been invited by the National Maritime Historical Society, the President of this society, Ms. Birchie Green is to be seen in one of the pictures in our website.

John Fasulo, who is a member of our society as well as Blaine Pardoe, helped to bring everything together to get the idea of this lecture coming true, thank you, John!
