Dear members, dear friends,
 
Yesterday the new von Luckner room has been officially opened by the members. It will be an office for the President and the board of the society, as well as a library and an archive. There also guests and members from abroad will be welcomed – so do not hesitate, we are very much looking forward having you here with us!

At the office also the “treasures” donated to the society got there safe “home”. Many of them yesterday were shown to the members.

Especially we have today to mention the donations of Countess Astrid Bolza Kezdy (living in South Africa) and her son Count Denes Bolza (living in Australia). Both donated a lot of things like photos, documents, medals, personal items possessed by Count von Luckner and so on. A special highlight is a mat given by the Maoris to the Count and honoring him to be a chief of them. This mat is made of a high number of feathers brought on leather. A very old an unique treasure, which will only from time to time be shown to guests or members.

Soon you will find pictures of our new office and of the wonderful evening we had yesterday.
