Dear members, dear friends,

Today it is the 124th birthday of Count von Luckner.

This is the reason for our meeting today from 6 p.m. on (our time) in the "Schenke am Ochsenberg". As you will remember we opened a Count von Luckner room there in April which we will use today to celebrate the Count's birthday. Please, be with us in your minds if you cannot be yourself here in Halle.

By the way, there are some news concerning our goal to get the Count officially honored in Halle for his efforts to save the city in 1945 from Alliied bombing. A faction in the city council has now applied for this due to our work in the public during the last weeks.

They apply for the following:

1. The town council shall decide to honor Count von Luckner.
2. In coordination with the Felix Count von Luckner Society there will be made a decision how to get the Count honored best.

As you can see our society's influence is increasing, a big success as I mean.

Well, we keep you informed and will also let you know how we celebrated the evening today.
