Dear members, dear friends,

In our website (below) you will find  some impressions of the commemoration meeting at Ohlsdorf Cemetary in Hamburg on the occation of the 40th anniversary of the Count's death. On April 22, a delegation of our society went to Hamburg to pay tribute to Felix Count von Luckner. We thank those who supported us, e.g. the Förderkreis Ohlsdorfer Friedhof e.V. - who is a member of our society as well - and the administration of this cematary. Members of the family of the Count participated too, so we all together were about 40 persons standing at the grave of Felix Count von Luckner and the Countess listening to words of appreciation.

Afterwards the delegation from Halle visited the owner of von Luckners last car, it was a mobile home and still exists but needs repairing. A great feeling to stand in that car the Count and his wife travelled with trought Germany and Europe.

Last but not least we visited the street Jungfrauental in Hamburg. There the Count had an appartment until he died.

All together it was a great day for us in the von Luckner year 2006.
