Dear members, dear friends,
We are very happy to say that we have received our first donations from abroad.
Mrs. Doris Straus provided two signed von Luckner prints from 1926. One is shows the "Seeadler" ("Sea Eagle"), von Luckner's ship from World War I. The second one is showing the "Vaterland", the ship von Luckner traveled around in the 1920's during his Good-Will-Mission. The grand parents of Mrs. Straus went to New York to meet Count von Luckner; that's why the prints made their way into the family. I will produce some photos to let you see how wonderful these prints are, and in a great condition too!
Mr. Jack Sotebier donated money for our society!
Thank you both very much, your donations are highly appreciated!
Best wishes
Matthias J. Maurer
